Forget buying moving boxes — heavy-duty, stackable plastic totes and dollies delivered to your door for local moves, no cardboard, no tape, no trip to the store. Run by people who live here, from Mountain View to Menlo Park — not a call center three states away.
"Free" boxes aren't free once you count the store trip, the tape, and what you do with the empties after.
Every package includes the bins, the dollies to move them, write-on painter's tape to keep rooms organized, and zip ties to lock lids down for transport.
The whole point of StackTote is that you never touch a box cutter.
Pick a size below and choose your delivery date. Full payment at checkout — nothing else to arrange.
Bins and dollies show up at your door, ready to load. Pack at your own pace during the rental period.
Once you've unpacked at the new place, we swing by and collect everything. No cleanup, nothing to haul back.
Local moves only, within these Peninsula cities.
Free delivery and pickup on every package. Pay once at booking — no deposit held on your card. Pick your rental length; longer rentals cost less per day. Need more bins than a package includes? Extra bins and dollies are priced per package — see the fees listed below, or just ask when you book.
No. You pay once at booking. If a bin or dolly isn't returned, or comes back damaged beyond normal wear, we invoice that separately afterward — see the fee schedule in the rental agreement below.
Rush delivery within 24 hours is available for a flat $35 add-on, subject to availability.
No. StackTote is run by TSI Impact LTD, a Peninsula-based company that's been operating in this area since 2024. When you call, you're talking to your neighbors, not a call center. Renting from us keeps your money local — supporting a small business growing right here, not a national chain's shareholders.
27 gallons each — noticeably bigger than the 15-20 gallon totes most moving bin rental companies use. That means 35-80% more space per bin, so you need fewer of them for the same amount of stuff.
StackTote itself doesn't — we handle the bins, delivery, and pickup. Email Welcome@StackTote.com or call (878) 888-2587 when you book and we'll pass your details along to a local crew for a separate quote.
No problem — if we're carrying bins up or down stairs for you, that's a $10/flight fee, noted at checkout. Setting bins down at your door or driveway is always included.
Free cancellation 24+ hours before your scheduled delivery. Inside 24 hours, it's a $50 cancellation fee. If the bins have already been delivered, a $99 restocking fee applies instead.
No — the Small Business package covers office and small-team relocations. For anything bigger than 100 bins, email us and we'll put together a quote.
Up to 75 lbs per bin — plenty for books, kitchenware, and everything in between, without worrying about a blowout like cardboard.
Yes — every bin is inspected and cleaned before it goes out to you. You're never unpacking someone else's mess.
Yes — Stanford is in our service area. The Starter package (20 bins, 2 dollies) is right-sized for a dorm move-in or move-out, delivered to campus and picked up when you're done.
Absolutely — plenty of customers use our bins to keep belongings organized and dust-free during a remodel, not just for moving. Same packages, same pricing, just a different reason to book.
We don't sell cardboard — we rent something better instead: heavy-duty reusable plastic bins that get delivered to your door, ready to pack, no assembly. If you were about to make a store run for moving boxes, this is the local alternative — cheaper than buying new boxes and tape for most moves, and there's nothing to break down or recycle afterward. See the full comparison.
Each dolly holds up to 150 lbs total. For an average mix of household items, that's usually 4-5 bins — but for heavier loads like books, stick to about 2 bins per dolly so you stay within the weight limit.
Plenty — home renovations, staging a house for sale, garage or estate cleanouts, seasonal storage, classroom or office reorganizing, even event supplies. Same packages, same pricing, whatever the reason you need bins.
Each bin holds up to 75 lbs — enough for roughly 40-50 books, a dozen pairs of shoes, or a full drawer's worth of folded clothes. Bulkier soft items (linens, towels, out-of-season clothing) fill the volume before you hit the weight limit.
Yes. A cardboard box is typically used once or twice before it's recycled or thrown out. A StackTote bin is built to handle 400+ rental cycles before retirement — hundreds of moves out of the same piece of plastic instead of a fresh stack of cardboard every time.
Just email or call us. If we can fit it into the route, we're happy to swing by early — no reason to keep bins around longer than you need them. There's no charge for returning early; you've already paid for your package, so finishing ahead of schedule just means pickup happens sooner, not that you owe anything extra.
This document governs both (1) your use of the StackTote website and booking process, and (2) the rental of StackTote equipment once a booking is confirmed. By using this website you agree to Part One. By completing checkout you also agree to Part Two, which governs your specific rental. Your name, delivery address, and rental dates are collected during checkout and are not repeated here.
This Part governs use of the StackTote website and booking process, operated by TSI Impact LTD ("Company," "StackTote," "we," "us"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the site or book a rental.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to book a rental. Service is limited to the delivery area listed on the site: Mountain View, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Stanford, and Menlo Park. StackTote may decline or cancel a booking outside this area or at its discretion.
Bookings are completed directly through Stripe, an independent third-party payment processor. StackTote does not collect or store your payment card details — Stripe handles that directly, under its own terms and privacy policy. Full rental payment is due at time of booking.
You agree not to:
The StackTote name, logo, and website content are the property of TSI Impact LTD. You may not use them without written permission, except as necessary to use the site as intended (for example, sharing a link to a booking page).
The website and its content are provided "as is." StackTote makes reasonable efforts to keep pricing, availability, and service area information accurate, but does not guarantee the site will be error-free or uninterrupted. Blog content and moving guides are informational only and are not professional moving, legal, or tax advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law, StackTote is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the website, including booking errors, site downtime, or third-party payment processing issues. This is separate from, and does not expand, the equipment-related liability terms in Part Two.
This Part governs the rental of StackTote equipment once your booking is confirmed. By completing checkout, you agree to these terms for that rental in addition to Part One above.
StackTote rents reusable plastic moving bins and dollies ("Equipment") to Customer for the rental period selected at booking — 7, 14, or 28 days from the delivery date. Each "bin" means one attached-lid tote consisting of a base and lid together, treated as a single unit; a base or lid returned without its match is treated as a missing bin under Section 10.
Delivery and pickup are provided within: Mountain View, Los Altos, Palo Alto, Stanford, and Menlo Park.
Standard delivery requires forty-eight (48) hours' notice. Rush delivery within twenty-four (24) hours is available for the rush fee posted at checkout. Customer must ensure access at the scheduled delivery and pickup windows; a missed appointment due to Customer unavailability may incur a return-trip fee. Deliveries requiring Company to carry Equipment up or down stairs are billed at $10 per flight.
Customer needing more time than the selected rental period should contact Company before the scheduled pickup date to arrange an extension at the applicable rate. There is no charge for returning Equipment early; Customer has already paid for the selected rental period, and an early return does not entitle Customer to a partial refund, but simply moves the pickup date forward at no additional cost.
Equipment is provided clean and in good working condition. Customer agrees to return all Equipment in the condition received, normal wear excepted. No security deposit is collected at checkout; instead, Customer is responsible for the following fees, invoiced separately after pickup and inspection if applicable:
If Customer becomes unreachable or does not make Equipment available for scheduled pickup, Company will attempt to contact Customer using the information provided at booking. Rental charges continue to accrue at the applicable daily rate until Equipment is returned; Equipment not returned within fourteen (14) days of the scheduled pickup date is treated as lost and billed under the fee schedule above, in addition to any accrued charges and reasonable collection costs. Customer authorizes Company to charge the payment method used at booking for any amounts due under this Agreement.
Equipment may not be used to store or transport hazardous, flammable, perishable, or illegal materials, and should not be left outdoors overnight uncovered.
Full rental payment is due at time of booking via Company's online checkout. Fees under Sections 8, 9, and 10 above are invoiced separately and due upon receipt.
Cancellations made at least twenty-four (24) hours before scheduled delivery receive a full refund. Cancellations inside twenty-four (24) hours of scheduled delivery are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. If Equipment has already been delivered, a $99 restocking fee applies instead.
Company is not responsible for damage to Customer's property or its contents, or for delays caused by circumstances beyond Company's reasonable control. Company's total liability under this rental is limited to the amount Customer paid for the applicable rental. Where Company refers Customer to an independent moving crew for loading, driving, or unloading, that crew is not an employee or agent of Company, and Company is not responsible for their acts, omissions, pricing, or scheduling. Customer assumes all risk of injury or property damage arising from the use, loading, or transport of Equipment, and agrees to indemnify and hold Company harmless from claims arising from Customer's use of the Equipment, except to the extent caused by Company's negligence.
StackTote may update this document from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms; changes do not apply retroactively to a rental already confirmed under the version in effect at booking.

If any provision of this document is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
By using this website, you agree to Part One. By completing checkout, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and agree to Part Two governing your rental.
Draft — for reference; ask us if you have questions.
When you book, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your name, delivery address, phone number, email, and preferred delivery date on our behalf. We don't collect or store your payment card details ourselves — Stripe handles that directly.
Solely to schedule and complete your delivery and pickup, contact you about your rental, and handle any billing under the rental agreement (missing/damaged equipment fees, extensions).
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone outside of Stripe (our payment processor) and the person actually making your delivery.
As long as needed for the rental and for our own business records (taxes, disputes), then it's deleted on request.
California residents can ask what we have on file, ask us to delete it, or opt out of any future contact — email Welcome@StackTote.com and we'll take care of it.
